IPL is the light wave of the future for younger looking skin! The Wall Street Journal named IPL the treatment of choice to take a few years off aging, sun-damaged skin. You may choose IPL for:

  • Minimize redness or broken blood vessels in the cheeks, nose and other areas of the face
  • Erase stubborn dark “age spots” that are too deep for conventional peels
  • Reduce pore size, dark spots, and mild acne scars without downtime

IPL B/A
We often combine IPL and deep exfoliation treatments (such as a micropeels) for even more dramatic results. Typically, we schedule a series of 10 treatments spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart. Treatment time is so brief it can be done on your lunch hour, with no downtime! Now you can realize radiant, glowing skin, reduced pore size, less redness and up to 80% improvement in age spots, with long-lasting results!

WHAT IS IPL?

IPL is an external light therapy to improve color, consistency and texture of skin by targeting problems in deeper skin layers, without disrupting the surface—in other words, there’s no downtime because nothing is visibly damaged after your treatment! Because IPL eliminates damaged skin cells while simultaneously stimulating collagen growth, we use it to treat a wide range of concerns, from brown age spots and dull, tired skin to red blood vessels and rosacea. Works great on sun-damaged chest and hands too!

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Typically, we recommend three to five IPL treatments (our providers will help you decide exactly how many for your case). Each treatment runs about fifteen to thirty minutes and can easily be done on your lunch hour, even if you add exfoliation. You may need additional treatments for very large dark spots or for densely covered areas.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?

Treatment may cause some redness, and can last from a few hours to a day. The darker spots look like small “coffee grounds” as they come to the surface. Remember to use sun block and avoid direct sun exposure after your IPL treatment.
